God loves Mommy and me, He knows we love Him too, When we pray we always say, “You’re so good, God—thank You!”
Snuggle in cozy-close with a sweet reminder of God’s love for mommies and their little ones. Celebrating loving mothers, precious children, and the God who loves them all, God Loves Mommy and Me will remind parents and little ones of how much they are loved.
God Loves Mommy and Me by Bonnie Rickner Jensen is a perfect addiction to your young child’s library. This book would be a wonderful baby shower gift or for a first Easter. My three-year old loved the illustrations of the little bunny. Comparing the love of God to a loving parent is a good building block for children to build their faith as they grow. Just as mommy is there to kiss boo-boos and forgive us when we have made mistakes; God is there to do the same.
Many times as a child, I felt that God was this angry father figure in heaven, looking down in displeasure at me. So, I especially appreciate being able to express to my child that God loves her and He’s there to forgive her when she makes mistakes. I want her to always know of God’s mercy and love.
This is a sturdy board book with a padded cover, making it a good choice for toddlers and preschoolers. Though, even my six-year-old enjoyed reading it and looking at the pictures.
