It’s October! I can’t believe how 2017 is almost over. It really doesn’t seem possible. Quickly wrapping up on real life things…
Arie and Piper start at a different therapy clinic tomorrow for physical therapy. I’m nervous and excited for them. As some of you recall, Arie was let go from PT awhile back. Her doctors feel that she needs to remain in therapy. I didn’t like feeling like the other clinic we’ve always used was blaming me for her lack of progress. I didn’t force the little one to wear her bodysuit and orthotics at all times due to it causing her extreme pain. Meaning, the suit was causing her knees to click when I put it on her and then took it off. And she screamed for hours when it was on. That just isn’t a feasible option for her.
Anyway, after she was let go, I called her doctor and they sent a referral to another clinic. They had evaluations last week and official sessions start tomorrow. Which adds four extra hours to my week but you do what you have to…more reading time, right? Please don’t take what I’m saying as being one of those moms that is never happy. I was happy with the therapy my child received at the old clinic. But, I was not happy with them making me feel wrong about my choice to listen to the orthopedist in not forcing her to wear something that caused her physical pain. Sometimes you just have to move on and look for other options!
Reading is going along fairly well. I’m almost to my yearly goal of 104—currently starting #93. I’m unsure if I’ll go over goal or simply raise it…thoughts?
I introduced a blog series this month to showcase my photography. I’m considering adding the prints from the Wordless Wednesdays in my online shop when I relaunch it. Again…thoughts?
Now…moving along to all my blog updates!

A Terrible Secret Hides in the Bulrushes
Amish bishop Henry Lapp eagerly awaits the annual arrival of 20,000 sandhill cranes to the San Luis Valley of Colorado. But his visit to the Monte Vista National Wildlife Refuge reveals more than just a miracle of God’s creation. Hidden among the bulrushes and cattails is the deceased body of a young woman.
As the local authorities attempt to unravel the mystery, Henry feels God’s calling to use his extraordinary talent to aid in the investigation. His ability to draw from memory in photographic detail could help solve this puzzling case.
Henry’s closest friend, Emma Fisher, has always urged him to embrace his gift. As their relationship deepens, Henry realizes his involvement could put him and those he loves in the direct path of a killer, one who is willing to do anything to cover up a brutal crime, including framing the bishop.
When the Bishop Needs an Alibi is a compelling story of faith, friendship, and finding courage only God can provide.
