We are back again! Ready to tackle the house and usher in spring—which is right around the corner! There’s something so nice about freshening up the house after a long dull winter. And let me tell y’all, it was a long, dull winter! It might still be 40 degrees out (but hey…it was in the 80’s last week!) so…let’s get to it! Winter is out and spring is in—or it will be in a few short weeks. So, let’s open windows, bring in the sun, and scrub away the grime with these fresh, all-natural cleaning DIYs!
Cleaning Recipes
Tub Scrub
INGREDIENTS
1 cup Baking Soda
1/4 cup Sal Suds
2 TBSP White Vinegar
1 TBSP Salt
10 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
10 drops Pink Grapefruit
Instructions: Combine baking soda, sal suds and salt in a bowl. Add in Vinegar and essential oils.
Store in an airtight glass container.
To use: apply to the tub and let the paste sit for 10-15 minutes. Scrub and wipe clean with a wet cloth.
Toilet Bombs
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup baking soda
1/2 cup washing soda
1/2 cup borax
1/2 cup citric acid
Spray bottle of vinegar
25 drops spruce hemlock
25 drops lemon
25 drops lime
25 drops tea tree
Instructions: Mix dry ingredients together well. Slowly stir in essential oils. Spray mixture and mix until it holds together. Do not over spray. Put into molds and allow to harden.
To use: Add to the toilet and allow to dissolve. Scrub and flush!
