I’ve had the opportunity to meet Beverly Lewis and Amy Clipston—an experience of a lifetime for a book lover I promise. But there are still authors that I really want to meet! To be honest, cutting this list down to five was impossible. So, I put the names of ten authors into a bag and pulled them out. Here are my results. These are in no particular order.
1. Vannetta Chapman
I would want to meet Vannetta because I’m on her street team and she’s really funny. She also puts up with my crazy antics even when a lot of authors would run the other direction if you told them that you plan to “stalk” them. Additionally, she’s been very supportive of my family by offering prayer and sending a gift to my daughter when she had surgery. She’s been a blessing to me and I would love to meet her!
Vannetta Chapman holds a BA and MA degree in English and has published over one hundred articles in Christian family magazines, receiving over two dozen awards from Romance Writers of America chapter groups. She discovered her love for the Amish while researching her grandfather’s birthplace in Albion, Pennsylvania. She published a novel with Abingdon Press called A Simple Amish Christmasin October of 2010. Her first Quilt Shop Murder Mystery, Falling to Pieces (Zondervan) was released in September of 2011 and received the 2012 Carol Award for best mystery. She currently lives in the Texas hill country.
2. Rachel Hauck
I would want to meet Rachel because she’s such a fun person in live chats! Her books are emotionally engaging and I just love her. She’s a super sweet lady!
Rachel Hauck is an award winning, New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author.
Her book The Wedding Dress was named Inspirational Novel of the Year by Romantic Times. She is a double RITA finalist, a Christy and Carol Award Winner.
Rachel sits on the Executive Board for American Christian Fiction Writers, and is the comical sidekick to Susan May Warren at the amazing My Book Therapy. She is a worship leader and speaker.
A graduate of Ohio State University with a degree in Journalism, Rachel is a devoted Ohio State football fan. She lives in sunny central Florida with her husband and ornery cat.
3. Connilyn Cossette
I hope I can make this one happen! I happen to know she’s relocated to my home state and I have four books just dying to be autographed. She’s going to have to get an author signing scheduled ASAP.
Connilyn Cossette is the author of the Out from Egypt Series with Bethany House Publishers. When she is not homeschooling her two sweet kiddos (with a full pot of coffee at hand), Connilyn is scribbling notes on scraps of paper, mumbling about her imaginary friends, and reading obscure out-of-print history books. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, she now lives in Texas where she loves the people but misses mountains, tall trees and barefoot-soft green grass. There is not much she likes better than digging into the rich, ancient world of the Bible, discovering new gems of grace that point to Jesus, and weaving them into fiction. Connect with her at www.ConnilynCossette.com
4: Kristy Cambron
Kristy Cambron is a godly author that I look up to. I would love to meet her because she’s a smart, amazing lady with such understanding of the scripture. Not only that? She loves coffee. So, yeah…I would love to meet her.
Kristy Cambron has a background in art and design, but she fancies life as a vintage-inspired storyteller. She is the author of THE RINGMASTER’S WIFE, named to Publishers Weekly Spring 2016 Religion & Spirituality TOP 10. Her novels have been named to Library Journal Reviews’ Best Books and RT Reviewers’ Choice Awards Best lists, and received a 2015 INSPY Awards nomination for best debut novel. THE ILLUSIONIST’S APPRENTICE (HarperCollins, 2017) is her fourth novel.
Kristy is a Speaker and Design Manager at TheGROVEstory.com, and holds a degree in Art History from Indiana University. She lives in Indiana with her husband and three sons, where she can probably be bribed with a coconut mocha latte and a good read.
5. Jaime Jo Wright
A fellow coffee lover, Jaime’s a new to me author and I’m chomping at the bit for her next book. She just seems like a cool lady—very friendly on social media. She’s an author I think that will be a favorite. So, how cool would it be to get to meet her so I can say a couple years from now that I met her back when she was getting her start?!
Jaime Jo Wright is the Publishers Weekly and ECPA bestselling author of two novellas, and a human resources director by trade. She lives in Wisconsin with her husband and
two children. The House on Foster Hill is her debut novel. To learn more, visit
