Holy Moly, Y’all! I finished three books this past week! I know, my goal was four and that I still feel short—but, this might be the breakthrough I needed so I can work towards getting ahead.
Okay, I’m going to talk about something else for a minute. There’s something bugging me and I have to get it off my chest. Have you all heard of kindness rocks? I talked a little bit about this last week. The concept was new to me and my children loved getting involved. So, I quickly looked up our local community on Facebook (#colorcaldwell) and jumped right into participating.
Quickly, I realized what a bunch of whiny babies are in this group. Grown ups stamping their feet and whining that they won’t paint any new rocks because no one shared a picture of it on the Facebook group. Are you kidding me? I can’t even—I can’t.
I guess I’m sharing this because I want to share a beautiful quote I read recently.
Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you. -Princess Diana
Isn’t that beautiful? I think a big part of the issues with entitlement that we have in our country is because people are raising their children to only be kind if it has an immediate return. You should never be kind to others solely for the purpose of getting something back.
I’ll step off that soap box now and take a look at what I accomplished!
