I just had to share this recipe with you all and for multiple reasons. You know I only share an aromatherapy post once a week, right? For the most part, this blog is very bookish and this post is both bookish and aromatherapy. What’s not to love?
This blend is perfect for sore muscles and to tame your tension. It helps with the nerve discomfort and is also uplifting. I find that it helps me with my discomfort in social situations when inhaled through an inhaler. This is my favorite blend of all time as it is so versatile and wonderful for so many things.
Additionally: This is my favorite blend to diffuse when I’m reading books like The Hunger Games or Lord of the Rings. The conifers and tansy take me right into the forest and I find that I enjoy those stories more because the oil takes me there on another level.
I just love this blend and I hope you all love it too!
Important notes:
This is what is called a “master blend,” meaning that it is undiluted oil that will need to be diluted before being used topically. Essential oils are very powerful and despite many companies claiming that their oils are safe to use without diluting, this simply isn’t the case. You can read more about the importance of dilution here and the adverse reaction reports here.
Dauntless Master Blend:
Add the following to an empty 5ML bottle:
46 Drops Black Spruce
22 Drops Frankincense Carteri
19 Drops Blue Tansy
7 Drops *Rosewood or Ho Wood
4 Drops Balsam Fir
2 Drops Copaiba
*Rosewood is endangered and hard to find. Nature’s Gift carried a ‘sustainable’ Rosewood oil that was a byproduct of the furniture industry. She has currently removed the listing from her site. Because of the sustainability issue with this oil, I suggest Ho Wood as an appropriate substitution.
