Children will enjoy the life of Jesus from birth and all the miracles he has done and is still doing.
I took this book because the cover is gorgeous. The blues and purples appealed to me and I thought my little ones would enjoy this book.
Unfortunately, they were disappointed to discover that half of the pages lack illustrations.
While the story is a beautiful one—the poetry was a little lacking. I felt as if the author was reaching to try to make it work. One example of this was “As many gathered before Him, 5,000 you see, He fed all with 5 loaves and 2 fishes and it was plenty.” Maybe I’m just expecting too much from a children’s book but even my four year old couldn’t keep her focus. I kept having to redirect her attention back to the illustrations.
I have a couple of children that said they liked another Christmas book better. Then I had two that said they would read it again.
Personally, this was not my favorite storybook that I have ever chosen for them.
